Xbox Game Pass continues to be an insanely good value for consumers.

The Xbox Game Showcase featured a lot of new and exciting games that Xbox has in store for its loyal fans. And many of these games are coming to Xbox Games Pass at launch.

To kick off the Xbox Game Showcase, we were given our first look at Halo Infinite gameplay. As many of you may already know, Halo is an Xbox exclusive franchise. It’s the flagship series for the brand and will be Microsoft’s tentpole release alongside the Xbox Series X this holiday season. Perhaps the most exciting news is that Halo Infinite will be coming to the Xbox Game Pass once the game is officially released.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Xbox Game Pass, it’s a subscription service that allows gamers to pay a flat monthly fee in exchange for access to a large video game library. It’s often referred to as the Netflix of video games.

New users of the subscription can get their first month for as low as $1 a month. It then costs only $10 a month after that. You heard that correctly, $10 a month to play games that are sometimes $60 at retail value. The only downside of the subscription service is that you can’t keep the games permanently. They are only playable for as long as you have a Game Pass subscription unless you buy the game outright for the value of the game.

At the moment the Xbox Game Pass offers some pretty amazing games that are worth the value such as Rocket League, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, the whole Gears of War franchise, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Games that are slated to be a part of the Game Pass in the near future are Halo Infinite, State of Decay 3, Forza Motorsport, Fable, and the Destiny 2 expansions.

There are so many more games that are worth it on the Xbox Game Pass. Red Dead Redemption 2 along with Halo Infinite and the Gears of War franchise makes the Xbox Game Pass well worth the money just with those titles themselves.

Microsoft is really going to go all-in with their subscription service. They plan on standing by it and making sure that it doesn’t end up going in flames. The fact that they plan on adding Halo Infinite to the Xbox Game Pass on release is a great selling point for the service itself. Microsoft knows that the Xbox Game Pass is going to sell a lot of subscriptions with just the announcement of Halo Infinite and having other AAA titles on their such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V is sure to keep gamers in month after month.

If you are interested in seeing what other games are on the Xbox Game Pass you can see them right on the Xbox website. If you are someone who doesn’t mind “renting video games” on a monthly basis instead of buying them to add to your collection then the Game Pass might be for you. You can not get every single game on the Xbox Game Pass, but the lineup currently features enough that the $10 a month is surely well worth the price. Whether or not you get the subscription service to play your favorite games or to discover something new, the Xbox Game Pass seems that it will be sticking around for a long time
