PS4 new games for July 2020: Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Iron Man VR and more
Check out the new games coming to PS4 in July 2020.
The PlayStation 4 is going out with a bang. Just a few months away from the launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony has saved its big guns for the end. There are some high profile games coming to the PS4 this month.
Sony is following up on the release of one of its biggest games ever in Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II with another highly anticipated blockbuster, Ghost of Tsushima. Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world action-adventure game set on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the late 13th century.
While it’s inspired by history, Sucker Punch has taken some creative liberties such as introducing a fictional protagonist in Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai remaining on the island. Following the first Mongol invasion, Jin remains one of the few survivors and must learn the way of the Ghost, emphasizing small-scale attacks to gain the advantage over his enemies.

Another big title release in July is Marvel’s Iron Man VR, a virtual reality game in which players step into the shoes of Tony Stark and take flight as Iron Man. I don’t typically get too excited for virtual reality games, but Marvel’s Iron Man VR actually looks like it could be good.
Beyond these two PlayStation exclusives, July’s lineup of new releases is rounded out by a few racing titles in F1 2020 and NASCAR Heat 5 and a variety of other smaller scale games with niche followings. Check out the list of upcoming PlayStation 4 games for July 2020.
