PlayStation Store Black Friday 2023 sale: Best PS5 deals
Black Friday is technically over but the PlayStation Store sale is still going on. For the next day or so, you can find discounts on over a thousand PS4 and PS5 games. From sports titles to action-adventures, there are games for everyone.
Not sure where to start though? Below are some of my our recommendations.
Hogwarts Legacy – $41.99 ($69.99)
Whether you’re a fan of Harry Potter or not, Hogwarts Legacy is just an amazing fantasy adventure. The game is actually set a century prior to the events in the Harry Potter novels/films, so you don’t even really need to be familiar with them. While there are references that fans will appreciate, it’s not necessary.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition – $39.89 ($69.99)
Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man has been out for a while now, but if you’re new to PlayStation, this is a must play. The Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition includes both the first game, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, as well as the standalone release Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Playing these two games will set you up perfectly to play the recently released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Lies of P – $47.99 ($59.99)
I’ll be the first to admit this game is not for everyone. But if you like Souls-like games, or just enjoy a challenge, Lies of P is a great game.
Cyberpunk 2077 – $29.99 ($49.99)
Cyberpunk 2077 is a few years old now, but poor reviews at launch may have convinced you to wait on buying it. Well, I’m happy to report that the game is now good and definitely worth your money — especially at just $29.99. With all of the updates and patches, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally the RPG that CD Projekt Red had promised us.
Resident Evil 4 – $39.59 ($59.99)
A remake of the classic 2005 survival horror, Resident Evil 4 is a must-play. If you like zombies, horror games, or just action, this critically acclaimed game (it’s a Game of the Year nominee) is for you.
Other recommendations
Of course, I’d recommend games like God of War Ragnarok and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but because these are sequels, they aren’t necessarily great places to start. But if you’re curious, here are some other wonderful PS5 games worth picking up, if only because they are on sale and you should add them to your library to play eventually:
