June sees the sequel to one of the PlayStation’s biggest games release on PS4 — Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. What else is coming?

After numerous delays, unfortunate leaks and tons of speculation, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II is finally set to release next month. The highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s cinematic action-adventure, which initially release on PS3 before getting remastered for PS4, is the highlight of the month for Sony fans. It quite possibly could be the biggest game of the year for any platform, next-gen consoles included.

Like its predecessor, The Last of Us Part II will be getting a June release after countless setbacks and delays. But the wait is almost over and hopefully you have been able to avoid spoilers stemming from those unfortunate leaks.

In anticipation of the game’s release in June, aughty Dog Vice President and The Last of Us Part II Director Neil Druckmann gave fans a nearly 30 minute sneak preview during Sony’s State of Play. I didn’t watch it, as to avoid spoilers. I already know this is a day one purchase for me, so do I really need anymore trailers or gameplay?

More from PlayStation 4

From a sales and marketing standpoint, The Last of Us Part II will be the biggest PS4 game for June. But there are a few other niche titles that could appeal to those who aren’t all that into the narrative-driven, cinematic blockbuster experience.

Game Freak’s RPG Little Town Hero will be making its PS4 debut after releasing on Nintendo Switch last year. Disintegration, a first-person shooter from V1 Interactive (a studio formed by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto), is also coming in June.

  • Project Warlock – June 9
  • Ys: Memories of Celceta -June 9
  • Desperados III – June 16
  • Disintegration – June 16
  • The Last of Us Part II – June 19
  • Little Town Hero – June 23
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated – June 23
  • Blaster Master Zero & Blade Master Zero 2 – June 29

Next. PlayStation 5: Four sequels we can’t wait to play on PS5. dark

The Last of Us Part II will mark the last major game release for PlayStation 4 before the launch of Sony’s next-gen console. The PlayStation 5 is due out this holiday season although Sony has yet to actually show us the console or reveal any launch titles for it. Hopefully that changes this summer.
