Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remastered was just announced by Activision. This new remastered version of the games will be more popular than the originals.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was the first skateboarding game to really bust open the door for fans of the sport. Fans of the Tony Hawk video games were greeted by some pretty electric news today. Activision announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 will both be remastered and combined into one single version of a game.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was released on September 29, 1999. Now 21 years later, the skateboarding legend himself is coming back to the virtual world in a remastered way. These new remastered version of both the first and second games will be sure to shatter popularity over the originals.

The original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games are a classic and now they are coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Gaming has changed over the past 21 years and is more popular now than ever before. There are a lot of gamers that simply weren’t even born back when the Tony Hawk games were first around.

Re-releasing these beloved titles will not only attract new faces to the franchise, but older fans as well. It may even bring back those who have grown up and perhaps become too busy to play video games. We all know life can sometimes get in the way. But now, with nostalgia kicking in, many may see this news and become interested again. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered is going to peak the interest of new and old alike and that smells like a mega success.

These new remastered classics are going to feature its original levels, characters and tricks along with some extra challenges. Some of the new features it will exhibit are a more detailed create-a-park mode along with online multiplayer. The multiplayer should be very interesting seeing that back in 1999 online multiplayer didn’t exist for these types of games on the original PlayStation. The game will also include many, but not all, of the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater soundtracks.

The regular edition of the game will retail for $39.99, the digital deluxe edition will be available at the price of $49.99 and the collector’s edition will be sold for $99.99. The price range is very affordable for gamers. Even the collector’s edition is very tempting at $99.99 figuring how much of a classic this game is. Not only that, but you are getting both the first and the second Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games in one collective game. The price is very reasonable.

Tony Hawk is ready to make a virtual comeback this September as the Pro Skater franchise is set to break a massive amount of skateboarding video game records. With the news of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 being remastered into one collective game, I am hoping Tony Hawk’s Underground franchise is not far behind.
