This month-long May event will kick off with a  brand new never before seen game mode, Dropshot Rumble. Dropshot Rumble is exactly what it sounds like it would be. It combines two classic Rocket League game modes, Rumble and Dropshot, making it sure to be hit success. Dropshot Rumble with include all the crazy power-ups from Rumble, while also including all the crazy fast-paced action of Dropshot. This mode will only be available from May 1st through May 4th.

Beginning on May 7th, Rocket League will bring back a summer favorite from last year, Beach Ball mode. Beach Ball mode is basically just like a regular Rocket League game except the ball hangs in the air a little bit longer and the ball seems as it would be as light as a beach ball, hence the name of the game mode Beach Ball. Beach Ball will be available from May 7th through May 11th.

The third weekend in May will focus on a game mode called Boomer Ball. In the game mode Rumble there is a power-up called Boomer which makes the ball rocket through the air at an abnormal amount of speed. However, we don’t really know what that means since Psyonix came out with a statement saying that more on that game mode will be revealed as we get closer to that weekend. So as far as what kind of mode that will be, that will be revealed in the next couple weeks. The Boomer Ball game mode will be available from May 14th through May 18th.

Finally, the month of May will end with the return of a fan favorite, Heatseeker. Heatseeker was just in the game temporarily as a limited-time game mode on April 16th. At the time of it’s return it will just have been a little over a month since the fan favorite has first debuted in the game. It is no secret that fans are most excited for the Heatseeker to make its return for the finale of the May event. Rocket League did a poll on twitter about what game mode that fans were most excited for the Modes of May event, Heatseeker got an astonishing 46.2% of the votes and was the winner of the pole.
