Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: When and where to watch the reveal trailer
After a lengthy digital painting session to announce Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft will release a reveal trailer on April 30. Here’s where to watch.
BossLogic is known for his amazing digital art. You’ve probably seen his collaboration with Marvel for the Limited Edition Avengers: Endgame poster. Clearly fans of his work, Ubisoft collaborated with BossLogic to help reveal the newest Assassin’s Creed game, which we learned today is officially called Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
BossLogic spent eight hours creating a digital painting that ultimately revealed what looks to be a Viking time period/setting for the game. Aside from the Norse-inspired setting, not much else is known about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. But that will change soon.
Ubisoft isn’t making us wait too long, promising a full reveal trailer on Thursday, April 30. The official trailer will be released at 11:00 a.m. ET. and you can watch it right here (via YouTube).
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be the first new title in the long-running series since 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Odyssey was well-received by fans and critics alike and supported for a year with DLC, presumably while Ubisoft also worked on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey put more of an emphasis on role-playing elements than previous games in the series, offering dialogue options, branching questlines and multiple endings. It also expanded the hitbox combat system that was introduced in Origins and saw the return of naval combat.
Naval gameplay seems to be returning in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as well, at least judging by the artwork but everything else remains a mystery. There are two Viking characters prominently shown (the main one in the front and the other charging into combat), which suggest we might be able to choose between playing as two main characters, similar to Odyssey.
That’s enough speculation from me though, you can just tune into the reveal trailer on April 30 at 11:00 a.m. ET. Hopefully we’ll also get a release date and available platforms, including whether it will be available for the next-generation Xbox One X and PlayStation 5.
