Final Fantasy VII Remake ‘Hollow’ video shows off a lot of re-imagined fan-favorite moments from the original game.

We may be waiting just a tad longer than was initially thought for the much-anticipated first episode of the Final Fantasy VII Remake but it’s still not far off. We’ve seen a fair chunk of the game at this point and no one would blame Square Enix for holding off any new footage until the game actually releases in a few months.

However, that is not the approach Square Enix is taking as early this morning they just dropped several minutes of mostly new footage of the Final Fantasy VII Remake along with a brand new theme song for the game by composed by Nobuo Uematsu. The song is titled “Hollow” and you can check out the video for yourself below. Even as someone who thinks Final Fantasy VII is just pretty okay, this video got me pretty excited for the April release (not like it has Cyberpunk 2077 to compete with anymore anyway):

Again, as someone who is at best lukewarm on the original, this video got me surprisingly excited. Maybe it was seeing Red XIII and hearing him actually talk that finally got me.

The biggest questions about the Final Fantasy VII Remake still lie ahead of us though. How far does the first episode go? How many episodes are planned and how long will we be waiting between each episode? Is the heavily rumored demo happening any time soon?

We just don’t have anything close to concrete answers on any of these pretty important questions. Hopefully, as the first episode finally nears release will get some answers either shortly before or not long after the game is actually out. The Final Fantasy VII Remake comes to PlayStation 4 on April 10.
