Witcher mod adds ‘Toss a Coin to Your Witcher’ to CD Projekt Red’s RPG
A mod for The Witcher on PC has added the hit song ‘Toss a Coin to Your Witcher,’ from the popular Netflix series,’ to the original game.
Although Netflix’s The Witcher is based on the fantasy novels, the live-action adaptation has also sparked a newfound interest in CD Projekt Red’s RPG series. As previously noted, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has experienced record-breaking numbers of concurrent players on PC, and now even the developer’s older games are getting attention.
A new mod has been created that actually adds The Witcher‘s catchy tune, “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher,” to CD Projekt Red’s 2007 RPG. Developed by Nexusmods user hub997, the mod adds the catchy ballad sung by Jaskier, aka Dandelion, into a cutscene within the game. You can watch a clip of the modded cutscene here.
“Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” is performed at the end of the second episode as Jaskier recounts the adventures of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and his dealings with the elves in the former kingdom of Dol Blathanna. Of course, the song embellishes just a tad bit on what exactly went down.
In any case, the song is incredibly catchy and has blown up since the premiere of the series. In addition to popping up in The Witcher, the song was also turned into a playable track in the VR action-rhythm game Beat Saber for Oculus and PlayStation VR.

This isn’t the last we’ll hear of the song in The Witcher games. Modder hub997 said he plans to create a cutscene featuring “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” for The Witcher 2.
"I’m also planning a second cutscene with another song from the Netflix series The Witcher, as well as alternative cutscenes with a song from Alzur’s Legacy, for example."
Season One of The Witcher is now streaming in full on Netflix. Although it has received a mixed reception from critics, it is officially certified “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. Also, fans seem to be loving it regardless of what the media thinks, as evidenced by its 93% audience score.
Regardless of how you feel about the show itself, there’s no denying that “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” is an absolute banger.
