Week 5 of Madden 20 Ultimate Team’s NFL Top 100 Program adds four all-time great wide receivers: Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Steve Largent, and Larry Fitzgerald.

EA continues to celebrate the NFL’s centennial anniversary with its Top 100 Program in Madden Ultimate Team. Week Five adds four all-time great wide receivers: Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Steve Largent and Larry Fitzgerald.

Each player has three different versions: Power Up, Base Version (85 OVR) and Centennial Version (95 OVR). In order to acquire the Centennial version, you need to put together a set of any 25 Week 5 NFL 100 base players.

It’s hard to argue with the addition of any of these four players as Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss are among the top five in most major leading receiver categories. Most Madden players are probably unfamiliar with Steve Largent, who played from 1976-1989. While he’s not necessarily the biggest-named receiver to have played the game, he is among the top 10 in receiving touchdowns.

More from App and Gaming News

Jerry Rice (1985-2004) is the current all-time leading in receiving yards (22,895), receptions (1,549) and touchdowns (197). However, Larry Fitzgerald (2004-Present), who is still playing in the NFL is second in receptions (1,370) and yards (16,990). Fitzgerald is sixth on the list in receiving touchdowns with 119.

Randy Moss (1998-2012) is probably the flashiest name on the list, known for his amazing catchings that sparked the phrase “you got Moss’d.” In his career, Randy Moss racked up 982 receptions, 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns.

Admittedly, even I’m pretty unfamiliar with Steve Largent (1976-1989) as he was well before my time. While I had the honor of watching Rice, Fitzgerald and Moss, Largent retired just a year after I was born. However, he has quite the resume.

According to NFL.com, he retired as the NFL’s all-time leader in receptions (819), receiving yards (13,089), receiving touchdowns (100). He was also the first player to catch 100 touchdown passes and one of only 10 players to ever do so. Suffice to say, Largent belongs right alongside Rice, Fitzgerald and Moss.

Moss is a Deep Threat with the “Mossed 100” ability, which greatly increases the success rate on aggressive catches of 50-plus yards regardless of coverage. Notice that it isn’t guaranteed anymore, but I’m sure he’s still dominant.

Rice, of course, is a Route Running archetype with the RAC ’em Up 100 ability.

"When in the Zone; frequently catches contested user RAC catches when covered by a single defender (X-Factor)"

Fitzgerald is a Physical wide receiver with the Double Me 100 ability.

"When in the Zone; frequently catches contested user aggressive catches when covered by a single defender"

Lastly, we’ve got Largent who is also a Route Running wide receiver. He comes with the Max Security 100 ability.

"When in the Zone; frequently catches contested user Possession catches when covered by a single defender (X-Factor)"

All four of these players are now available in Madden 20 Ultimate Team. Be sure to also complete the four new Top 100 Solo Challenges to earn one of the player’s Power Up items with each game completion. Completing all four challenges will reward you with a Fantasy Pack to choose one of the four player’s 85 OVR Base Version.
