Episode 2: Pentagon The Last Castle is now available for The Division 2 Year 1 pass holders. It arrives with Title Update 6, now available (with patch notes) for everyone.

“Episode 2 Pentagon: The Last Castle,” the second of three planned free content expansions for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 arrives today. But while the new content is only available for Year 1 pass holders right now, it comes alongside Title Update 6, which features plenty of changes and adjustments for everyone.

As a reminder, Episode 2, which will be available for all players on October 22, features two new missions, the new Technician Specialization, some more Classified Assignments exclusive to pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers, the return of Expeditions, and more.

But there’s also a slew of bug fixes, improvements and even some more free content featured in Title Update 6, which is available for all players today.

Ubisoft has spent the last few weeks diving deep into all of the major improvements in Title Update 6, and now that it’s here, we have the full patch notes.

Some of the highlights include a targeted loot system which allows you to hunt for specific gear slots, brand weapons, weapon types and mods.

There also an improved User Interface for the inventory, along with an increase to the number of loadout slots (now up to 12). The Mod inventory menu has also been redesigned. All of these changes should make it easier to navigate your inventory and understand your core stats.

We also got some changes to PvP and Dark Zone, including the new Team Elimination PvP mode as well as the new “Wharf” map. Elimination sees two teams of four battle it out in a best-of-seven elimination mode.

As for the Dark Zone, players below Gear Score 500 will receive a normalization boost, making it easier for newcomers to enter the Dark Zone and organized PvP. Supply drops will also be more plentiful and there’s now a Dark Zone Server Transfer feature which means more populated areas. This is a bit of a double-edged sword as I’m sure there are some players who hate an empty Dark Zone; however, if you’re farming for materials or items, having an empty zone is a blessing.

Finally, there’s a tone of new items and gear balancing changes, all of which can be found here.

Overall, this is a pretty major update to The Division 2, which is still not even a year old. “Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle” is just the second content expansion, with the third, “Brooklyn: Homecoming,” returning players to New York City in early 2020.
