Red Dead Redemption 2 rides onto PC on November 5
After numerous leaks, Rockstar Games has finally announced their hit action-adventure Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming to PC next month.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC. The long-awaited announcement from Rockstar Games came today along with brief details as to how the PC version will improve upon the original console release in 2018.
Rockstar promises “a range of graphical and technical enhancements” along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons. I’m assuming this additional content will also make its way over to the console versions of RDR2 as well.
Along with the single player story mode, Red Dead Online will also be coming to PC with the latest content updates – including the Frontier Pursuits and specialist Roles – available at launch. I’m probably most curious to see how Red Dead Online will translate over to PC. If you thought GTA Online was absolute mayhem, just wait until you throw a bunch of players together in the wild west.
Of course, one of the big bonuses of Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC is the possible use of mods to enhance the overall experience; although, Rockstar didn’t specifically mention mod support in their announcement. In any case, don’t expect to be able to use them in Red Dead Online (you can’t use them in GTA Online either). However, it’s possible that Rockstar could allow mod support for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode, since they also allow it for Grand Theft Auto 5‘s single-player. If they are allowed, I can’t wait to see the crazy stuff the Rockstar community comes up with. I’m willing to bet we get some sort of Lil Nas X mod within the first week.
