Supercell has detailed some new Town Hall 11 and 12 content coming with the June update for Clash of Clans, as well as balancing changes.

Supercell is gearing up to release the next update for Clash of Clans, and have given fans a sneak peek at what’s to come this month.

The June update for the mobile strategy game doesn’t have a release date yet, but will presumably come within the next week or so. Supercell typically spends about a week teasing some of the major changes and features coming in an update before actually releasing, so we can probably expect that with this one as well.

So what can players look forward to with the Clash of Clans June update?

While the most recent Spring update was seemingly more about making the game more accessible to newer players and encouraging a more active play style, the June update will bring new content for players who have unlocked Town Hall 11 or Town Hall 12.

For Town Hall 12 players, the Barbarian King and Archer Queen have each will have their maximum level increased from 60 to 65. The Grand Warden will be increased from 30 to 40, and will have his regeneration times decreased across the board.

The Rage Spell, Poison Spell, and Skeleton Spell will all have their maximum level increased from five to six, while the Golem troop will have its maximum level increased from eight to nine.

Lastly, the Mortal maximum level will be increased from 11 to 12, while all level 13 Walls will be upgradeable.

The Town Hall 11 changes aren’t nearly as robust, with only the Earthquake Spell and Haste Spell having their maximum level increased from four to five.

Specific stats regarding these newly upgraded units, buildings and spells can be found over on the Clash of Clans forums, but unfortunately, Supercell offered no insight into why they chose to target these specifically.

Supercell also detailed a ton of balancing changes for both the Home Village and Builder Base. Looking over the notes, nothing major sticks out.

The level 11 Mortar upgrade time will be decreased by two days, further continuing to reduce downtime. The Battle Blimp is also receiving a health buff. Meanwhile, the Golem is receiving a buff to its splash radius and damage upon death.  The full list of changes can be found here.

The reaction to the changes listed is generally positive, with many players celebrating the buff to the Earthquake spell and Golem damage. A buff to the Skeleton Spell, which now will spawn armored Skeletons, has players giddy about the potential this could have on attack strategies, as it has definitely become a more viable unit now. As we’ve learned in the past, even the most subtle balance changes can impact the overall strategy and meta of attacking, so it’ll be fun to see what the pros come up with following the update.

As always, let us know what you think of these upcoming changes and check back on Sunday, June 9 for the next sneak peek at the Clash of Clans June update.
