Digital Extremes’ has unleashed The Jovian Concord update for PC. It brings a complete remake of Jupiter, a new Warframe and more.

Continuing to deliver new content for Warframe on a consistent basis, Digital Extremes has released The Jovian Concord update for the free-to-play, third-person action game. The new update packs quite a bit of content, including a complete graphic and gameplay overhaul of Jupiter’s harsh and industrial tileset, secret lore to uncover, the new Wisp Warframe, UI reworks, Fashionframe changes and more.

Jupiter’s remastering is, by far, the highlight of the update.  More than just a graphical overhaul, Jupiter has been completely reimagined to take advantage of Warframe‘s parkour movement system. It’s a complete remake of Jupiter, featuring all-new places to explore; so take a chance and see if you can leap to new heights to discover the secrets of Gas City. Check out the before and after below.

With the redesigned map comes secret lore to uncover and new enemies to fight. As the story goes, Amalgams are nightmarish Corpus and Sentient beings found deep within the walls of the Gas City. Their creation is the result of twisted experiments from the villainous Alad V, whose hidden laboratories will uncover a sinister plot that “could lay the groundwork for a looming war.”

In Ganymede, you’ll find the all-new endless Disruption mode. The description reads:

"Collect keys from fallen Amalgams to activate corresponding conduits, then protect the conduits from the Demolysts that will try to destroy them. Each conduit will trigger a random player boon, environmental hazard or enemy buff. Test your strength against the Amalgams to earn new Weapons and new Mods."

Completing Disruption, along with Sabotage, Rescue and Spy missions will provide you with fragments of lore that will ultimately lead you to a showdown with the flying Ropalolyst, Gas City’s deadly boss.

Defeating the Ropalolyst will unlock the brand new Warframe, Wisp, the Ethereal. The game’s 40th warframe, and second to be released this year, Wisp uses light-based abilities to support allies in combat. She’s an intriguing new character with the ability to fly in between dimensions, becoming invisible to enemies while in air.

When it comes to free-to-play or games as a service, no one has done it better than Digital Extremes. Whereas other developers struggle to release new content on a regular basis, Digital Extremes is consistent in delivering fresh updates that continue to push Warframe forward. These types of substantial updates to Warframe are a shining example of what other developers interested in free-to-play or games as a service should strive for.
