The WWE 2K25 release date is right around the corner. While there are handfuls of new features and modes coming to WWE 2K25, there are also parts of WWE 2K24 that will make a return. The biggest thing returning from WWE 2K24 is Personas. Personas were new in WWE 2K24 and were found in the MyFaction game mode.
For those gamers who are unfamiliar with Personas, they are cards that you can obtain with VC. Usually, these Personas are cards that have a very unique attire or a very unique look to each wrestler. Some Personas got so in depth that they brought you back to the PlayStation 1 wrestler days and other Personas might have been cards to take you back into special moments of that wrestlers career. The possibilities with Personas were endless and it made players want to collect each Persona for various wrestlers because those Personas can also be used in every other game mode the game has to offer.
How Personas will work in WWE 2K25
The way Personas worked in WWE 2K24 is that you were able to obtain Personas in MyFaction mode. The way you did this was by using your VC and purchasing packs to try and get newer Personas or you could buy single Personas from the Card Market. However, the Persona you might have been chasing after might not have been able to be bought by itself in the Card Market, in which case you needed to hunt for them via Card Packs. Ultimately, making it fairly hard to get every Persona possible.
If you had your fingers crossed that the Personas would be easier to collect in WWE 2K25, they will not. In fact, it will be nearly the same way. The good news is, you can earn VC in WWE 2K25 without spending a single penny of real money. Unfortunately, it takes quite a bit of time to grind up some VC and purchase Card Packs hoping you get the Persona you are looking for. This can become time consuming and expensive if you decide to drop some of your real money into the game to buy VC.
That news may seem a little unfortunate to hear in regards to WWE 2K25, but Creative Director Lynell Jinks did say that they would be open to looking into making obtaining Personas easier in future installments. However, if the company decides to go down an easier route in future installments, those changes would not be made in WWE 2K25.
If you are looking to get your copy of WWE 2K25, pre-orders are now available. The Deadman Edition will be available a whole week early on March 7, with the Standard Edition available the week after on March 14.
