They may not get as much credit as superstars, but a good general manager is an essential part of a WWE brand. Who can forget Vickie Guerrero's classic heel run with Edge, or Teddy Long informing people they would have to go "one-on-one with - The Undertaker?" WWE 2K's GM Mode returned by popular demand a few years ago, and players love it. This year features 19 different general managers, almost double 2K24's number. It can be a lot to take in.

So who will do the best job of putting your brand atop the ranking and earning you a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame? It's likely not a coincidence that the best answer is Xavier Woods, well known for his YouTube efforts at Up, Up, Down, Down. His power up card is called Cheat Code, and allows you to poach a superstar from an opposing brand. That's it. You just play the card, and a superstar currently on somebody's else payroll is on your roster. The only limit is that you can't snatch a title holder.

If you'd like an aggressive and financially savvy start, you could drop this week one. You're essentially getting a free superstar since the other brand already paid their contract. If it doesn't work out, you're under no obligation to keep them after their run.

Strapped for cash? You can make trades now, and you didn't pay for this wrestler to begin with. Ransom the star back to their old roster, or see who the highest bidder might be. If the superstar has great mic skill, you can use them for advertising promos and then press them into ring service later. There will always be injuries or commissioner restrictions that make you play the game a different way than you expected.

This year's GM Mode mixes it all the way up with new managers, cross-branded premium live events, and online play. Do you have what it takes to get to the Hall of Fame?
