Eclipse Glow Games recently shocked everyone with their new game reveal, Tides of Annihilation at the PlayStation State of Play event. This is yet another Chinese studio that is cooking up an exciting AAA game.

The first thoughts that came to my mind after watching the announcement trailer were, hack and slashers, Elden Ring, Devil May Cry, and Stellar Blade.

11 minutes of Tides of Annihilation gameplay reveal

Just after the reveal at the State of Play, the studio announced that they would release gameplay for the Tides of Annihilation the next day.

Staying true to their words, they dropped 11:40 minutes of gameplay of the game which was just amazing. They even included a boss fight with a very important character in the game, Mordred.

Not only me but even in the comment sections, the praises for this game and the gameplay were immense. Everyone loved how good the game looked and the hack and slash combat system was the main topic for everyone.

If you have ever played Devil May Cry 5, then you might relate to this better. That game has the most satisfying combat and hitting combos feels so amazing.

You can clearly see, how pretty similar the hack and slash combat looks in Tides of Annihilation in comparision to Devil May Cry. The world-apocalyptic settings will also remind you of Elden Ring and Stellar Blade.

The character designs are stunning; just look at Mordred and Gwendolyn. Their battle during the gameplay reveal was quite satisfying to see. Gwendolyn, the game's main character, can fully show her skills.

It indicates that she may summon knights and employ their abilities in combat. The sword battles seem fantastic, and I can see the possibility for combos in the gameplay as well.

This game is inspired by Arthurian legend. Players have to uncover the mystery of an otherworldly invasion in a shattered modern London, which has unleashed the hordes of the monsters.

Gwendolyn, the main lead has to fight for herself and for her family alongside the spectral knights to save this broken world and bring it back together.

The game is currently available on a wishlist on PS5, Xbox One, Steam, and Epic Game Store. For now, the release date has not been announced, but pay close attention to the official social media page of Tides of Annihilation for future updates.
