Fallout Day 2025 brought tons of great news for the franchise that has only gotten bigger since Amazon released its series adaptation in 2024 – also FYI, season 2 premieres on December 17th! From new content to special merch, game sales, and more, Fallout Day brought tons of great news. If you want to check out everything announced (and there was a lot!), you can see it all here on Bethesda’s official page

But here’s what I think are the three biggest and coolest announcements from this year’s Fallout Day spectacular. Read on to discover the biggest reveals the franchise has lined up!

The Ghoul is coming to Fallout 76

As an Ohioan, I was especially excited to learn that Fallout 76’s latest update will bring us to the Buckeye State. In the Burning Springs addition, the remains of Ohio will be explored after it was destroyed in the Great War and re-inhabited as a place called Burning Springs. “Ohio is a desert wasteland now,” said Creative Director Jonathan Rush. Well, John…Ohio already was a deserted wasteland…but I’m excited to see how much worse y'all have made it.

Rush continued during the presentation, saying, “As players discover more of Burning Springs, they will also learn of the area’s history and how it fits into Fallout’s greater post-nuclear world.”

On top of a new locale and new enemies, the biggest news from the update is that players will get to encounter The Ghoul himself. Voiced by Walton Goggins, players will encounter The Ghoul in a riotous settlement called Highway Town. From there, he’ll send you out on a series of bounty hunting missions.

Burning Springs is a completely free update to Fallout 76 that will be launching on December 2, 2025.

Fallout 4 is getting an Anniversary Edition

It’s been 10 years since Fallout 4 debuted to rave reviews and even earned itself a Game of the Year nomination. Now, an exclusive anniversary edition of the game is being released, complete with the base game, six expansions, and a brand-new in-game creations menu where you can discover, download, and enjoy content from professional developers and passionate enthusiasts from around the world. The initial release will be stocked with over 150 creation club items.

Fallout 4’s Anniversary Edition is being released for Xbox, PC, and PS on November 10, 2025, and will be arriving on the Switch 2 in 2026.
