NHL 25: Connor McDavid is once again highest rated player
EA Sports NHL has revealed the player ratings for NHL 25 and by the surprise of no one, Connor McDavid will once again be the highest rated overall player, and he won't have to share the spotlight with anybody else.
During the final stretch of NHL 24, Connor McDavid is going to finish off that game with being a 97 overall. A very high but deserving rating for the clear best player in the National Hockey League. According to the EA Sports NHL ratings for NHL 25, that overall is going to carry over and Connor McDavid will begin NHL 25 with a 97 overall as well. A rating he will not have to share with anyone else at launch as he is the only player in NHL 25 with a 97 overall rating.
Hardcore and even casual fans should not be surprised by this. What Connor McDavid does every year is truly unbelievable and the skill he possesses is unlike anything we see each season. For a man who has won the Art Ross Trophy five times, Hart Trophy three times, a Rocket Richard Trophy, and most recently added a Conn Smythe to his resume that came on the end of being on the losing team, nothing should surprise you at this point when it comes to Connor McDavid.
Connor McDavid is consistently a 100+ point player every season and that really is just the floor of what he can accomplish. Which is why Connor McDavid leading the pack once again for being the highest rated overall player in NHL 25 is something that is going to happen for many years to come.
The Edmonton Oilers have been very fun to watch over the past handful of yeas and are a Stanley Cup contender every year. They were one win way from winning the Stanley Cup this past season and I am sure Connor McDavid and company will be hungry to start their season right where they left off.
McDavid and Oilers fans won't have to wait too much longer to get their hands on a copy of NHL 25, since NHL 25 will be releasing on October 4, 2025, and even a week earlier if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition.
