Madden 25 reveals release date through new MVP Bundle with EA Sports College Football 25
EA Sports has confirmed this year's Madden NFL game will be titled Madden NFL 25. While we figured this to be the case, there was some uncertainty around the title when EA broke from its own naming convention back in 2013.
For those unfamiliar, 2013's Madden game represented the 25th anniversary of the long-running football video game franchise. In celebration of the milestone, EA named what should have been called "Madden NFL 14" as Madden NFL 25.
For the past 12 years, it never posed a problem. But here we are, in the 2024-25 NFL season.
It seems that EA believes we're far enough removed from the previous Madden NFL 25 game that there won't be any confusion โ and they are probably right.
Anyways, while there was no official announcement or reveal for Madden 25 yet, EA confirmed the title through a new "MVP Bundle." This new bundle features both the Madden NFL 25 Deluxe Edition and the EA Sports College Football 25 Deluxe Edition for $149.99.
Normally, the Deluxe Edition of these games cost $99.99 each, so the MVP Bundle represents a savings of around $50. It's also about the cost of what the Standard Editions of both of these games would cost if you purchased them together ($69.99 each). So for $10 extra you can get early access to both games.
The MVP Bundle also confirms the release date for Madden NFL 25. Again, nothing has been formally announced, but the bundle details confirm three day early access to Madden NFL 25 which runs from August 13-15. This means the Madden 25 global launch will be on Friday, August 16.
EA Sports College Football 25 releases globally on July 19, with the MVP and Deluxe Edition granting early access from July 16.
The reveal trailer for EA Sports College Football 25 is coming today. It's been rumored that Madden NFL 25 will also be revealed this week, but so far we've got nothing.
