Sony has officially announced MLB The Show 24. While many of the gameplay details remain under wraps, we now know the release date, platforms and pricing.

What used to be a Sony exclusive is now a multiplatform game. But one of the big questions every year is whether or not it will be coming to the aging Nintendo Switch.

Will MLB The Show 24 be available on Nintendo Switch?

For the third year in a row, MLB The Show will be coming to Nintendo Switch. And while it may not stack up to the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions of the game, the series has made strides on the Switch. Last year's game, while not perfect, was still enjoyable and hopefully, Sony San Diego has continued to make improvements.

Once again, there will be a "Last Gen" and a "Current Gen" Edition of the game. You guessed it, the Nintendo Switch version will be the "Last Gen" edition.

Sony hasn't revealed specific gameplay details yet so we don't know the exact differences between the Last Gen and Current Gen editions. However, it has been confirmed that Stadium Creator will only be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

Some other details for the Switch version, even if you purchase the physical version of the game and have the cartridge, an additional download is required.

And finally, the Switch version will support Cross Saves. This means you'll be able to upload your saves through the cloud and download them on other platforms. Full cross play is also supported, allowing you to play with friends on other consoles.

MLB The Show 24 will be released on March 19, 2024. The game is currently available for pre-order. The Last Gen Nintendo Switch version is priced at $59.99. Sony has not yet revealed the details about the Collector's Edition version of the game.
