Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is based on the RuneScape MMORPG game as it existed on August 10, 2007, though there have been plenty of updates since it was released back in February 2013, including the addition of 37 new quests.

Back in February, Defender of Varrock became the third OSRS quest to effectively be re-released into the game after having been initially released into the game now known as RuneScape 3 following that aforementioned August 2007 date.

It was initially released on September 29, 2008, back in the days of RuneScape 2. While Guthix Sleeps, which was released on November 26, 2008, is believed to be on its way to becoming the fourth this summer.

Additional RuneScape quests added to OSRS

The other two quests that fall into this category are Land of the Goblins and Path of Glouphrie. Land of the Goblins was released on November 12, 2007, and Path of Glouphrie came out on September 3, 2007. In OSRS, Land of the Goblins came out on February 9, 2022, and Path of Glouphrie came out on September 13, 2023.

Bottom line, Jagex have shown that they are willing to introduce old school-style quests into OSRS, even though those quests were not initially released on the day the original OSRS source code is from. Said quests have also been somewhat modernized.

Considering the fact that all of such entries have taken place in the last three years, it’s safe to say that we can expect more of the same down the road, especially given the rumors that quite a few quest series will continue to be expanded upon.

Here are five post-2007 (but pre-EOC/RS3) quests that also belong in OSRS:
