Now we can call him the Big Ringpost or something like that. WWE 2K25 has unveiled NBA legend Shaquille O' Neal as a celebrity guest in the Dunks and Destruction DLC. He'll join current NBA star Tyrese Halliburton, the Great Khali, and Abyss in the June 25 expansion. Here's a trailer showing his intro and some bizarre entrance music.

Seriously, what is that music? I'd rather have some of Shaq's mid-90s rap like "What's Up, Doc?" or some NBA-related tunes. WWE did luck out with the Indiana Pacers possibly becoming NBA champs right as this drops. Still, I don't know too many WWE 2K fans who were clamoring for Tyrese Halliburton.

It also appears another celebrity guest has been dropped. 2K had initially teased two other NBA stars besides Halliburton. The first DLC, the New Wave Pack, was supposed to have a celebrity guest when it launched in May. That got postponed, and we were told WWE would reveal it to us later. We're a few days out from the next pack, and still no word on that celebrity guest.

Abyss is another odd addition. I don't think he ever wrestled in WWE, but he's currently a producer so I imagine it was easy for WWE to add his rights. He didn't exactly have the option of saying no if he'd like to continue being employed. TKO is firing lots of WWE employees out here.

Right now, this pack is giving serious Pat McAfee and Friends energy. Whatever 2K spent on Shaq (and I can't imagine it was a small amount) would have been far better spent signing a deal with an actual WWE wrestler.
