Madden 25 welcomes Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry to coveted 99 Club
By Brian Allen
All across Madden-playing America, people are about to start games with the agreement, "No Baltimore Ravens, OK?" EA Sports has announced that both Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and star running back Derrick Henry have received 99 overall ratings in the game's latest update.
Amazingly, this is the first time either player has received a 99 overall. That seems insane, considering Jackson is a two-time MVP and appeared on the Madden 21 cover. He has been one of the most electrifying players in football since entering the league. He draws more than a few comparisons to Michael Vick, whose Madden 04 version is still the standard by which other video game athletes are measured.
Derrick Henry is a two-time rushing champ, often doing so with a mediocre quarterback in charge of his offense. With Jackson, the beauty they create is something to behold. Obviously, this makes the Ravens one of the most powerful teams in Madden 25. Jackson and Henry create one of the best combos we've ever seen in the game, especially with the Ravens' playbook's mix of RPOs, quarterback runs, and power runs.
This is the first time two teammates have earned 99s during the season. Again, they should have started the season with these ratings in my opinion but better late than never. I give EA and Madden a lot of grief and believe me, they earn it. This is a great thing though. In-season updates help keep the game fresh and almost make constantly being online worth it.
