Madden 25's rarest uniforms have glitched the game for two months

Even when EA Sports does something cool, it often manages to mess it up royally. Players who reach the top 100 rank in Madden 25 Ultimate Team unlock special uniforms as a reward. This is an awesome idea. The problem is that equipping the uniforms makes the game lag until it crashes. Some players use these unis on purpose to crash the game and get free wins.
Sadly, this has been going on for more than two months now. Not everyone has encountered the glitch, because only 100 players get to equip this uniform. Thankfully for the community, most of the Top 100 are good players and don't need to glitch the game in such a scummy way.
Still, it's embarrassing that a glitch this powerful has been in the game, corrupting online play for this long. Recent reports say that the NFL will likely continue its exclusive deal with EA Sports. EA and the NFL are making tons of money on this franchise. 2K Sports hasn't inspired confidence with its recent offerings, including the card game NFL Playmakers.
When EA Sports snapped up the exclusive license, it didn't just end the beloved NFL 2K franchise. It stopped all development on any NFL projects at other game companies. Games don't spring fully formed from the earth, they take years of work.
That's work no one is willing to do when there is zero guarantee they'll get to use the NFL license. Despite decades of trying, every pro-style football game launched with that license has failed. That's where we are, and where it appears we'll stay for the foreseeable future.
