Fortnite's new Star Wars themed game mode will bring the "Darth Jar Jar" meme to hilarious life. At Star Wars Celebration Japan, we got the unveil of Fortnite Galactic Battle. It will launch May 2, just before Star Wars Day May 4. May the Fourth be with you, get it?

The collab will include a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass, including characters such as Emperor Palpatine and Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader. You'll get to pilot and co-pilot X-Wings and Tie Fighters, as well as exploring themed map locations.

Each week will have a different theme.

Imperial Takeover- May 2

The Pull of the Force - May 8

Mandalorian Rising - May 22

Star Destroyer Bombardment - May 29

Death Star Sabotage - June 7

The five-part event will lead up to an in-game live narrative adventure with the fate of galaxy in players' hands.

The Darth Jar Jar theory proposed that the goofy, clumsy Gungan was actually a secret Sith agent, pretending to be a clown while secretly manipulating events behind the scenes. The wild world of Fortnite is the perfect place to unleash the Sith Lord Jar Jar. After all, a world in which The Mandalorian can battle Batman while Goku gets sturdy in the background is not to be taken too seriously.

Epic promised a whole bunch of Star Wars surprises from this event. We've seen art of Mace Windu, Poe Dameron, and Captain Phasma since the mode's reveal. Star Wars Celebration revealed so much goodness, much of it gaming-related. We also got confirmation of Star Wars Zero Company, an XCOM-style game from Bit Reactor, and some upcoming DLC for Star Wars Outlaws.
