Can you get a Nuke in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?
The Nuke is one of the deadliest and most powerful Killstreaks in the Call of Duty franchise. A Killstreak that does total destruction and even wins the game for your team no matter what the score is. The Nuke is still an iconic Killstreak in Call of Duty video games and fans will be happy to know that a version of the Nuke has been included in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
History of the Nuke throughout the Call of Duty franchise
The Nuke has changed slightly over the course of the Call of Duty franchise. One of the best Nuke Killstreaks to get was in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). In that game, Killstreaks counted towards other Killstreaks so it would make going for Nukes a whole lot easier. Gamers would set the Harrier (7-Killstreak), Chopper Gunner (11 Killstreak), and Nuke (25 Killstreak) as their three Killstreaks. There were also tons of other Killstreaks combos that gamers loved to used, but those three were the most common. This was also the only Call of Duty video game where the Nuke actually had to be set as one of your Killstreaks.
As Call of Duty games continued to come out over the years, the Nuke became a secret Killstreak that was automatically set for every player that played. Some games required 25 kills without dying to unlock the Nuke and other games required 30 kills in a row without dying to unlock the Nuke, except Killstreaks would not count towards your total.
The names for the Nuke has also changed with each game ranging from a MOAB, to a KEM, and now a MGB (Mass Guided Bombs) in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
How to get a MGB “Nuke” in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?
Let’s be honest. Playing for Nukes is such a fun objective to try and go for. It does get frustrating very quickly, but the feeling of calling one in and winning the game for your team is a very satisfied feeling.
If you are looking to get a MGB in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you are going to have to get 30 kills without dying. These 30 kills must be without the use of Killstreaks which is what makes it a lot tougher. Getting 30 kills without dying is a very tough task to complete, but if you do, you will get the chance to call in a MGB for your team.
Once you have the 30 kills in a row without dying, you will have a MGB that can be activated using the right D-Pad. Upon calling the MGB in, a short timer will begin to countdown. When the timer reaches zero the Nuke will go off and you will secure the victory for team!
That is all there is to it! If you think you have what it takes, get out there on the battlefield and start going for 30 kills in a row. Like I said before, it won’t be easy. However, if you do end up getting one, it will be a feeling you want to experience over and over again.
