Diablo IV has been going for five months strong. It’s hard to believe that the game has been released that long already after all the hype leading up to the release. If you purchased the game in June when Diablo IV was first released, there is a very good chance that you have completed the Main Story and have completed a majority of everything else you have wanted to complete with the game so far.

Diablo IV is getting its first-ever expansion DLC called Vessel of Hatred

If you happened to be tuning into BlizzCon 2023, then you were hit with the news of DLC for Diablo IV. Blizzard announced that Vessel of Hatred will be Diablo IV’s first-ever expansion, revealing that the Vessel of Hatred DLC “continues the grim tale that began in Diablo IV, as you learn the fate of the prime evil Mephisto and his demonic plans for Sanctuary.”

While all that sounds very exciting, we also learned that there will be a completely new region for gamers to explore called Nahantu. Plus, if that news wasn’t enough, there will also be a brand-new class making its way into Diablo IV as part of the Vessel of Hatred DLC. A Class that Blizzard reportedly states that we have never seen before in any Diablo video game to date.

We all kind of figured there was going to be DLC released for Diablo IV, but now we have absolute confirmation that it is coming.

The Vessel of Hatred DLC is scheduled to be released during the tail end of 2024. That is roughly one year from now, but that is not that surprising given how much content Diablo IV currently offers for its gamers. There is also no exact release date that was given yet. Just a vaguer late 2024 release date.

I am sure that as we approach Summer of 2024, we will get a better understanding and a more exact date for when the Vessel of Hatred DLC will be released. After all, Summer 2024 is also when Blizzard states that they will be providing a lot more information regarding the expansion. Until then, we must wait and enjoy the current Diablo IV.

This news is very exciting news, and I cannot wait to see what Blizzard has in store for us throughout 2024. The news that they have revealed to us from BlizzCon 2023 was just the tip of the iceberg and I can assure you that there is much more to come.
