Starfield: How to cure every Affliction

Throughout your Starfield adventure, you are going to takes lots of damage. This damage can either come from various enemies or even the environment. Eventually, you will come across affliction damage. Afflictions is a type of poison that places a negative status effect on players. If the affliction is not cured, it can become increasingly worse and do a lot more severe damage to players.

How to cure all Afflictions in Starfield

Afflictions aren’t fun to deal with, but they can all be cured. You can either get afflictions from different types of enemies or even from the environment as well. Whatever the case may be, you always want to make sure you treat an affliction, so it doesn’t get worse. Much like you would treat an infection/injury in real life so it doesn’t spread or get more severe.

If you are find yourself with a new affliction, a notification will pop up quickly on screen to let you know. If you missed this little pop up and want to see what affliction you received, you can head to the menu and click on check your status effects. Knowing exactly what type of affliction you have is crucial to make sure you know what type of medicine you need.

Once you know what affliction status effect you have been given, you can either purchase medicine at a merchant/sales kiosk in major cities or craft your own medicine at Pharmaceutical Labs.

Before you go through any of this, double check your inventory to make sure you don’t have medicine that can cure your affliction on your player. All you have to do is check the “Aid” category and scroll through your food and health items and see if any of them state that they cure certain afflictions.

  • Antibiotic Paste: Treats Burns, Frostbite, Infections
  • Antibiotics: Treats Infections
  • Bandages: Treats Contusions, Lacerations, Puncture Wounds
  • Boosted Injector: Treats Brain Injury, Concussion, Heatstroke, Hernia, Hypothermia, Lung Damage, Poisoning, Radiation Poisoning
  • Heal Gel: Treats Burns and Frostbite
  • Heal Paste: Treats Burns and Frostbite
  • Immobilizer: Treats Dislocated Limb, Fractured Limb, Fractured Skull, Sprain, and Torn Muscle
  • Injector: Treats Brain Injury, Concussion, Heatstroke, Hernia, Hypothermia, Lung Damage, Poisoning, Radiation Poisoning
  • Junk Flush: Cures all Addictions
  • Penicillin X: Treats Infections
  • Snake Oil: Treats Brain Injury, Concussion, Heatstroke, Hernia, Hypothermia, Lung Damage, Poisoning, Radiation Poisoning

Once you have narrowed down your affliction, you can use the information above to help treat the affliction. Starfield can already be hard enough. Don’t make Starfield any harder by not treating afflictions. They may be annoying to have to cure, but it also will prevent you from taking any additional damage.
