The Jets defense is for real, there’s no doubt about it. A ferocious pass rush that comes in waves, veteran leadership at linebacker and a secondary that shouldn’t be messed with. Everyone knows how talented DJ Reed and Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner are, but FS Jordan Whitehead was the star of the defense. He picked Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, three times in one game which was good enough to earn himself a $250,000 incentive for this season in just one game. Yes, maybe one or two were “arm punts” from Allen, but the third was a great read in coverage and a massive momentum shift for the team. And, you still have to come down with the ball if you can make a play on it.

The third interception kickstarted a drive in which Garrett Wilson made arguably the catch of the season already for a touchdown.

The Jets got some social media buzz for their Madden ratings reaction video, but maybe EA Sports will reward two of the stars from Monday Night Football with the first update.
