Last week we finally got confirmation on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and its release date. Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023. The newest installment into the Call of Duty franchise will focus on Captain Price as the protagonist and Vladimir Makarov as the antagonist. The way that Modern Warfare 2 ended has fans excited about this epic clash to come in Modern Warfare 3.

Last month Activision confirmed something that sparked a lot of conversation in the video game industry, stating that your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 weapons, operators, and bundles will carry over into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Because of this news that Activision dropped, it made many Call of Duty fans wonder if Modern Warfare 3 would act more of an expansion than a main entry into the Call of Duty franchise. At first glance, it did not appear to be an expansion, but we now have confirmation on whether it will be or not.

A spokesperson from Activision reached out to Charlie Intel to let them know that “as stated in numerous Activision Blizzard quarterly conference calls, Modern Warfare 3 is a premium release. It will be price accordingly at $70 USD.”

You can’t get a more concrete answer than this one. Modern Warfare 3 being priced at $70 is also another indication that it will not be an expansion. That would be a pretty hefty price just for an expansion.

On August 17, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be revealed during a Warzone event. Once the Warzone reveal event is over and done with, gamers can form their own opinion on their expectations for what is to come. What are you hoping gets introduced into MW 3? Is there something you really hopes makes a return or something brand new you really want to see? Let us know!
