Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III release date announced
Towards the end of Summer each year, gamers get the itch as to what the next Call of Duty game is going to be. Rumors about the next Call of Duty video game constantly swirl throughout the year, but we can officially put those rumors to rest now on this year’s Call of Duty. The Sledgehammer Games Twitter Page released a little teaser trailer announcing that Call of Duty 2023 will be titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Sledgehammer Games making this sort of announcement basically confirms that they will be the lead developers on this project.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Release Date revealed
At the end of the teaser trailer, we found out that Modern Warfare III will be release on November 10, 2023. Getting to know the release date is great, but there was a lot of other information that could be taken out of the trailer as well.
The teaser trailer starts out with the traditional Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II green. Then a few moments later, everything shifts to what appears to be the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare red. The dialogue that you hear is Captain Price’s voice and quote from one of the finals scenes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
These clues foreshadow that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be a continuation of MW II. This is something that everyone expected because of what Activision revealed last month. Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare II Weapons, Operators, and Bundles will carry over into this year’s Call of Duty video game. This sparked a lot of theories that Modern Warfare III or a Call of Duty continuation would be coming.
I’m sure that this won’t be the last of returning content in MW III. I am also expecting to see some fan favorite maps make their way into the game at some point if they aren’t in there at launch.
Following Captain Price’s dialogue, we get dialogue from Vladimir Makarov stating, “never bury your enemies alive.” The dialogue between these two indicate that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is going to focus heavily on Price vs Makarov.
Even in just a short 40 second trailer, there was a lot of information to take away. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III should be a very interesting video game. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too much longer as the November 10 release date will come up faster than it appears to be.
