There are still quite a lot of questions surrounding NHL 24. We don’t know who the cover athlete is going to be, we don’t know any new features making their way into this year’s game, and we still don’t know when the game will be officially released. We are expecting a release date of October 13 because it matches up with previous NHL release dates, but that has yet to be confirmed by EA Sports. The one thing we do know is how you can get your chance to participate in the upcoming NHL 24 Playtest.

If the October 13 NHL release date is correct, that means we just have a couple of months until the game goes live to the public. That would also be just 3 days after the NHL regular season kicks off on October 10 with some blockbuster matchups, including Connor Bedard making his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two months is not long at all, but you can get your chance to play NHL 24 even earlier by participating in the NHL 24 Playtest.

If you want your chance to get on the ice early, you need to go to EA’s website and travel to the NHL 24 section of the website. From there you should see a button that says “Sign in to EA Playtesting.” Click on the button and you will then ask to fill out a bit of information and complete a short survey.

The NHL 24 Playtest is only available to those who live in the United States and Canada. You must also own either the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, or the Xbox One, as these are the only platforms the Playtest will be available through.

In the upcoming weeks, we should be getting more information regarding NHL 24. There is still a lot of information we need to know about the game, but hopefully EA has something big planned in store for everyone. In the meantime while you wait for any big announcements, you can head over the EA’s website and sign up for the Playtest, so you can play NHL 24 before anyone else has the opportunity to.
