Twisted Metal 2 cheat codes for PS4 and PS5
With Peacock’s Twisted Metal television series arriving this past week, the video games on which it is inspired have gained renewed interest. The original Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2 games — arguably the best two in the series — are currently playable on PS4 and PS5. However, both games were originally released on PlayStation in 1995 and 1996, respectively, a time when cheat codes were prominent in video games.
Even though Twisted Metal 2 is now on PS4 and PS5, those same cheat codes still work. With cheats, you can enable God Mode (invincibility), unlimited weapons and special moves, and temporary shields and invisibility. You can also unlock Minion, a demon who drives a massive tank.
Below are all of the cheat codes for Twisted Metal 2 that you can use on PS4 and PS5:
- God Mode/Invincibility: While holding L2 + R2 + L1 + R1, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, then release L1 + R1
- Unlimited Health: While holding L1 + R1, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, then release L1 + R1
- Unlimited Weapons and Turbo: While holding L2 + R2, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, then release L2 + R2
- Unlimited Special Moves: Triangle, L1, Down, Triangle, Up
- Machine Gun deals double damage: While holding R2, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, then release R2
- Homing Napalms: While highlighting Napalm, holding L2 and press: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, then release L2
- Use Minion’s weapon with anyone: Hold the machine gun button and press Up, Down, Up, Up
- Wheels of Death (increased ramming damage, only works with Axel): While holding R1, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, then release R1.
- Jump: Up, Up, Left
- Napalm: Right, Left, Up
- Drop Mine: Right, Left, Down
- Freeze Burst: Left, Right, Up
- Rear Attack: Left, Right, Down
- Rear Freeze Burst Attack: Left, Right, Up, Left, Right, Down (weapon slot has to be empty)
- Rear Napalm Attack: Right, Left, Up, Left, Right, Down (weapon slot has to be empty)
- Temporary Invisibility: Right, Down, Left, Up
- Temporary Shield: Up, Up, Right
- No Radar: Select + Left
- Rear view mirror: Select + Right
- Switch camera view: Select + Up
- Show weapon list: Select + Down
- Switch split screen view: Select + Up in Two Player mode
- Replace weapons for health: Down, Up, Right, Left, Up, Up, Down, Down (only works when your Advanced Attack bar is full)
- Unlock Minion: In the Vehicle Select menu, press L1, Up, Down, Left
- Unlock Sweet Tooth: In the Vehicle Select menu, press Up, L1, Triangle, Right
To disable a cheat, simply re-enter the code and it should turn off.
In addition to codes, there are other fun easter eggs you can perform while playing. For example, on the Paris level you can blow up the Eiffel Tower, while in Moscow you can blow up the bridges.
How to blow up the Eiffel Tower in Paris
This one is easy. Lay a remote bomb on top of the Eiffel Tower. When detonated, the explosion will cause the tower to fall and form a bridge over the rooftops.
How to blow up the Bridges in Moscow
Again, you’ll need to place and detonate a remote bomb in the middle of the arena on the purple and green pad. Doing so will cause the bridges to blow up and will spawn weapons.
