NBA 2K24 is coming in September, and as we all wait for the official player rankings, we have compiled a list of who we predict the game’s five highest rated point guards will be come release day.

The NBA 2K24 cover honors the late Kobe Bryant as their next cover athlete, and even offers fans a Black Mamba Edition of the game. Plus, for the first time in the title’s history, NBA 2K24 will support cross-play, allowing players on different platforms to play and compete with one another. To ensure your future success, you must begin considering which NBA point guard will quarterback your team.

We watched as veterans and emerging stars took over the league this season with record-breaking games, All-Star worthy performances, and even award-winning assists. Check out who we predict will be the top-rated point guards in NBA 2K24.

Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) — 92 OVR

Ja Morant burst onto the scene in 2019 and has not let up since. After winning Rookie of the Year in 2020, Morant has been everything the Grizzlies have needed him to be…on the court. He averaged 26.2 PPG and 8.1 APG, and even managed to tally 5.9 RPG despite his 6’2″ height. Some pesky injuries have kept the point guard out for extended periods of time, but when he is healthy, he almost always delivers when the Grizzlies need him.

Unfortunately, Morant’s 2022-2023 season was overshadowed by controversy. He recently received a 25-game suspension for the upcoming season after he was seen flaunting a gun on social media multiple times. That, combined with the Grizzlies’ early exit in the playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers, will likely put Morant as only the fifth highest PG in the game.

Compared to the other point guards on this list, Morant does not have the silverware or experience to garner anything higher than a 92 overall. The rating would be lower than his 93 overall in NBA 2K23 due to his rollercoaster year.
