New PS5 and PS4 games releasing in July 2023
The summer months are typically slower in terms of new video game releases. The big blockbusters are usually reserved for the holiday season. Case in point, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is due out in October. That’s not to say there are some intriguing games coming to PS5 and PS4 next month. Here’s a quick look at some of the PS5 and PS4 games coming our way in July 2023.
New PS5 and PS4 games releasing in July 2023
One of the first games I’m looking forward to playing next month is Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, a sequel to 2016’s critically acclaimed graphic adventure game. The story takes place five years after the events of the original game, which saw teenager Alex and her friends attempt to unravel the secrets of a local island.
Coming just a few days later is Exoprimal, a new online, team-based action game from Capcom. The plot is absolutely ridiculous — in the year 2043, a rift in spacetime has unleashed a massive dinosaur attack across the globe. It’s now up to you to defend humanity and stop the swarm. Step into high-tech exosuits and become humanity’s last hope.
Another game I’m looking forward to diving into is Remnant 2. As the title alludes, this is a sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes, action RPG shooter that saw you battle an interdimensional evil called the Root. Remnant was basically a third-person shooter take on a Souls-like game. Remnant 2 looks to improve several features from the first game, including the procedural map generation.
