How to scan Amiibos in Tears of the Kingdom

As you can tell, there are a ton of rewards you can earn just by scanning your Amiibos in Tears of the Kingdom. You can get rarer rewards such as the great Epona Horse, you can get great pieces of armor sets, you can get powerful weapons, and you can even get Hearty Truffles which can be a little bit harder of an item to find.

If you have the Amiibos that you want to scan but just don’t know how to do it, you first need to unlock the Amiibo Scan Ability that you get naturally by just progressing through Tears of the Kingdom.

Once you have the Amiibo Scan Ability unlocked you can open the menu by pressing the “L” button. Scroll over and click the Amiibo icon. A tutorial will come up on how to scan the Amiibo. All you have to do is set the Amiibo down on a clear surface and hold the Amiibo over the right stick. If the Amiibo was successfully scanned, you will hear a confirmation sound confirming the Amiibo. You will then be able to claim your respective rewards that you get for scanning that Amiibo.

The best part about using the Amiibo Scan Ability is that you are able to scan each Amiibo every single day. That means that if you are scanning the Majora’s Mask Link to get pieces of the Fierce Deity Armor Set, you can scan it every day to try and get a new piece each day.

If you don’t have a lot of Amiibos, now may be the time to grab some extras or borrow them from a couple of your friends. Take advantage of the resources that are available to you and claim the rewards that Tears of the Kingdom have to offer.
