The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still relatively fresh. With the game being out less than a week, gamers are still trying to get into the meat and potatoes of the latest game in the Zelda franchise. Some gamers haven’t even gotten the chance to play Tears of the Kingdom yet. When they load the game up for the first time, one of the first things they are going to want to do is get an Armor Set for the early gameplay. The Glide Armor Set is one of the best Armor Sets that you can acquire early on in your Tears of the Kingdom journey.

What makes the Glide Armor Set so great for the early portions of Tears of the Kingdom is the Set Bonus that comes with the armor. The Set Bonus for wearing all three pieces of armor is called Impact Proof, which reduces fall damage tremendously. Plus, if you manage to upgrade the Glide Armor Set to level 2, you will not take fall damage from any height. Not only will this make exploring a bit easier early on, but you don’t have to worry about taking damage if you need to jump off any high areas. Not only that, but each piece that you equip onto Link will also apply a Skydiving Mobility increase.

How to get the Glide Shirt in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

From Lookout Landing, travel Northwest across the Carok Bridge and continue on till you reach the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. Once you reach this location, you will notice that the Skyview Tower is sitting in the middle of a little pond. To reach the tower, create a fire in the grass and use the fire to propel yourself into the air and use your paraglider to soar over the water. Then climb up to the Skyview Tower and activate the tower.

You are going to then want to use the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to launch Link high into the sky. As you are soaring high up into the sky, be on the lookout for a giant tower of rocks that goes up into the sky. They should be on the left-hand side of Link.

Use your glider to glide towards this rock platform and land on the topmost rock platform. When you are up here you will see a giant ring with green symbols inside. Examine this landmark and it will spawn a green ring at the edge of the rock platform. This is when you are going to walk up to the edge of the cliff and thrust Link off it into the abyss below. While you are falling to the ground, more green rings will spawn, and you are going to need to make sure you glide through each of the green rings until you reach the water below. If you miss a green ring on the way down, you are going to have to repeat the steps above and start all over again. If you went through the green rings without missing one a cutscene will begin.

After you get out of the water, search for a Steward Construct. The Steward Construct is going to explain to you that there is a trial that needs to be completed and it requires you falling through the sky, similarly to what you just did. This trial will be a timed trial. Go ahead and accept his time trial and he will teleport you into the sky. For this time trial, you are going to have to clear all the rings in 35 seconds. If you complete the Steward Construct’s Time Trial, you will be rewarded with the Glide Shirt.
