Does EA Sports PGA Tour have an Ultimate Team mode?

EA Sports PGA Tour has officially been released, so grab your clubs and hit the links. This is the first EA Sports golf video game since Rory McIlroy PGA Tour was released in 2015.

One of the most popular game modes that EA Sports likes to include in sports video games is Ultimate Team. Madden has Madden Ultimate Team (MUT), FIFA has FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and NHL has Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT). But does EA Sports PGA Tour feature an Ultimate Team mode as well?

Does EA Sports PGA Tour have an Ultimate Team mode?

If you are unfamiliar with how EA Ultimate Team game modes work, they are actually really fun. Ultimate Team allows you to create your very own dream team of players and compete against other players to see which team is the best. You virtually are able to create a team of All-Star level players, Hall of Famers and Legends, to create the best sports team possible. Athletes normally have their own trading card in the game and owning that card on your team brings them to life to play as them on the field or ice.

With that being said, it appears that EA Sports PGA Tour will not have an Ultimate Team game mode. It makes the most sense that EA Sports would go this route. Since golf is not a team sport, it would make Ultimate Team nearly possible to accomplish. The whole point of Ultimate Team is to create a “Team” of the best players and do battle in that sport against other great teams.

Luckily, not having an Ultimate Team game mode will not hurt EA Sports PGA Tour in any sort of specific way. There is still going to be tons of game modes to dive into and tons of content to be overtaken. With all four Majors, over 30 playing courses at launch, a very deep career game mode, and tons of PGA Tour level Pros that you can play as, there is going to be no shortage of things to take up your time.

If you are looking to purchase a copy of EA Sports PGA Tour, you can make a purchase for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA Sports will not be releasing this video game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. EA solely wants to put all of their focus on the next generation consoles so that you can get the most out of your experience.

Also, EA Sports PGA Tour has been created using the Frostbite engine, making this the most realistic golfing game to date. So while the news of no Ultimate Team may be disappointing, there will be tons of other content waiting for you to dive into. Not to mention the beautiful graphics that will make you mesmerized every time you load up the game.
