It’s been an incredible start to the year for PlayStation Plus. This year, PS Plus subscribers have received Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, Code Vein, Olli Olli World and Destiny 2: Beyond Light, to name a few. Sony has just revealed the free PS Plus monthly games for April 2023, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Making its debut as a PS Plus launch title is Meet Your Maker. From Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive, Meet Your Maker is a post-apocalyptic first-person base-builder. Playable solo or co-op, you raid other player-built Outposts or construct your own deadly maze-like Outpost to try and protect your Genmat from other player raiders.

Also coming to PS Plus next month is one of Sony’s most iconic characters. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a spinoff of the popular LittleBigPlanet series. It’s a platformer that follows Sackboy across fun and frantic 3D worlds. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is playable solo or with others as you can create teams of up to four to work together to complete levels.

The third and final free PS Plus game for April is Tails of Iron. This hand-drawn RPG adventure is set in a grim land plagued by war. As Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne, you must restore your broken kingdom by defeating the merciless Frog Clan. Don’t let these critters fool you though, Tails of Iron features some punishingly brutal combat.

Although April’s PlayStation Plus offerings lack a blockbuster title, both Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Tails of Iron are solid games that received mostly positive reception upon release. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a fun, light-hearded platformer while Tails of Iron is a darker RPG adventure. And while Meet Your Maker doesn’t have any reviews as it’s not yet out, impressions from the recent beta have been very positive. Whether you enjoy base building or dungeon raiding, it’s got both.

All three of these games will be available for PS Plus members to download starting on April 4, 2023, and all three will be playable on PS4 and PS5. Don’t forget to claim March’s monthly games which will be available until Monday, April 3.
