Is Mad Chainsaw difficulty in Resident Evil 4 remake full game?

One of the discoveries in the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake demo was the extremely difficult Mad Chainsaw mode. upon multiple playthroughs of the demo, players would randomly be presented with the option to enable this mode and try to complete it on the insane difficulty.

During Mad Chainsaw difficulty, enemies had more health, the villagers that you come across were more aggressive, and Dr. Salvador’s chainsaw was flaming and a decent amount stronger. It was hard, but no doubt some gamers liked the extra challenge.

Now that Resident Evil 4 Remake is fully release, some are wondering if Mad Chainsaw mode is available in the full game.

Unfortunately, it is not. When the warning message of Mad Chainsaw difficulty appeared before you began playing the demo, a message in small print, underneath the warning read: “this mode is specific to the demo and is not included in the final game.” That couldn’t be any clearer cut.

While this news may be disappointing for a select group of gamers, you still can play Mad Chainsaw difficulty in the demo as many times as you would like. If you don’t want to keep restarting the game until the difficulty randomly appears, there is a cheat code that you can enter to make sure you can play on Mad Chainsaw difficulty as many times and as many playthroughs as you would like.

This doesn’t mean that Mad Chainsaw mode won’t be added to the full game down the line at some point, but most likely it will not. If Capcom was secretly planning on adding it later on, I doubt that small print stating it won’t be in the full game would have ever been shown. There is also always an option that Capcom adds a different difficulty similar to Mad Chainsaw difficulty, but just call it something different. We shall see, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
