Will Resident Evil 4 Remake be on Xbox Game Pass?

Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to arrive this week. Reviews for the remake are exceeding even the highest expectations with a 93 Metascore.

Releasing on March 24, 2023,  Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC. With its arrival on Xbox, some may be wondering if Resident Evil 4 Remake is an Xbox Game Pass launch title.

Will Resident Evil 4 Remake be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Resident Evil 4 Remake will not be available to play through Xbox Game Pass. That means if you want to play the remake you’ll need to purchase it.

On Xbox, it’s available for $59.99. There’s also the Deluxe Edition available for $69.99. The Deluxe Edition offers the main game plus the Extra DLC pack which includes additional costumes for Leon and Ashley, two Deluxe weapons (Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker), and some other bonuses.

While disappointing, it’s not entirely surprising. Unless they are first party exclusives, big blockbuster games like this from third-party publishers, don’t typically launch on Xbox Games Pass.

Will Resident Evil 4 Remake come to Xbox Game Pass in the future?

At this point, it’s hard to say when or if Resident Evil 4 Remake will come to Xbox Game Pass and so far Capcom hasn’t made announcement. With that said, it is still a possibility the game could come to the service in the future.

Other Capcom titles have been available on Xbox Game Pass in the past, including Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. RE7 actually left the service back in May 2022. So there’s the chance the game could arrive on Xbox Game Pass at some point down the line.

Resident Evil 4 Remake launches on March 24, 2023. If you’re looking for some games to play on Xbox Game Pass, some new arrivals this month include Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Guilty Gear Strive, Dead SPae 2 and 3, and Valheim. For baseball fans, MLB The Show 23 will be available on March 28.
