Now that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has been released for more than 72 hours, there will be a handful of gamers who will be completing the main story. If completing Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty once wasn’t enough, you can do it all over again with Team Ninja’s version of New Game Plus.

You are going to have to first complete Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on any difficulty. Once you have finished the game, you will unlock a new difficulty called Rising Dragon difficulty. Rising Dragon is the equivalent of New Game Plus. When you play through the story on Rising Dragon difficulty, things get a lot tougher but more rewarding.

Only the first three parts are available when you start Rising Dragon difficulty. The rest of the game will be unlocked as you complete certain milestones. These missions can be done in whatever order you want so you are never stuck doing things you don’t want to do.

If you aren’t level 100 or near level 100 when you start a new game on Rising Dragon, I suggest continuing to try to level up before you begin. Enemies are going to be a lot tougher, and you should at least try to be right around the recommended player level. If you start playing and realize that making the game even harder than it was in the first place isn’t your speed, you can always go back and switch the difficulty level to something a bit easier.

Not only was Rising Dragon difficulty developed into the game to make your life harder, but it was added in order to make you more powerful as well. Five Star gear will be available to you. This is the only way that you will have the option to acquire Five Star gear, but it will not be easy to do. Team Ninja isn’t just going to throw rare loot like this your way easily. It is going to take a bit of a grind, but if you made it this far in the second playthrough, you are used to grinding.

You also have the chance to save your progress in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty by finding Battle Flags. Saving will come in handy when you are playing on Rising Dragon just because of how difficult things can get. For many gamers, Rising Dragon just won’t be their thing. However, the option will always be out there if you want to try and further squeeze extra content out of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and truly try and become the most powerful version of your character that you can.
