Sony is finally dropping another State of Play today, so we can get a peek behind the curtain at what they’ve been working on since September. The event is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. PT, 4:00  p.m. ET and 22:00 CET.

So let’s talk about what to expect from the big show! First, here’s what’s already been confirmed in the official announcement from Sony.

I think without a doubt we’re going to see some new footage from Resident Evil 4’s upcoming remake as it is due out next month. It would also seem almost definite that there would be a new trailer for the upcoming Lightfall DLC for Destiny 2 given Sony’s recent acquisition of Bungie. Destiny 2: Lightfall is due out next week.

Now let’s get to what’s hopefully there. These are going to go from probable to just insane, so bear with me. Starting on the practical side of things is a new fighter for Street Fighter 6, and Guilty Gear Strive. We may even see a release date for the upgrade to Dragon Ball Fighterz. Back closer to reality, we are due a trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as we haven’t seen much since that initial announcement. Ideally, that would get followed up with a trailer for Wolverine’s new game too. I think it all culminates with Square Enix giving us a first look at Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2. If so, hopefully, we see a cinematic trailer and a loose release window.

My first outlandish thought — a PS5 upgrade for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Slightly less crazy but would be great to see would be an update on what Sucker Punch is doing, whether it be a new infamous, Ghost of Tsushima 2 or maybe even a new Sly Cooper game. I’d also like a chance to see what Naughty Dog is up to since we haven’t heard much from them since The Last of Us Part 2. With the success of HBO’s adaptation of the beloved series, now would be a perfect time for a Naughty Dog update. This list could go on forever as Sony has a lot of abandoned IP, and I for one would love to see them get more use out of them.

No matter what games show up, hopefully, it’s an amazing show and everyone has a great time watching it.
