Madden 23 official sim predicts who will win Super Bowl LVII
Every year, Madden holds their annual simulation to predict who will win the Super Bowl. This year, EA turned to Madden 23 to continue their tradition and conducted a simulation to see who will win Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Depending on who you think will take home the crown this year, the results may shock you a tad.
Madden 23 predicts the Philadelphia Eagles will beat the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 31-17. While some may believe the Eagles can, and will, win over the Chiefs, the blowout score is a bit surprising. Also, the simulation predicted that Jalen Hurts would be named MVP. This would come as no surprise if the Eagles do end up winning by two scores and him being a helpful part in the Eagles’ first three touchdowns, just like the prediction says.
Before the 2022 NFL Season began, we used Madden 23 to simulate the entire season, predicting each team’s record, the division winners and the entire playoffs. During that simulation, Madden 23 predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs would finish with a record of 13-4 and the Philadelphia would finish with a record of 10-7, with both winning their respective divisions. Interestingly, the Kansas City Chiefs finished with a record of 14-3 and won the AFC West and the Philadelphia Eagles finished with a record of 14-3 and won the NFC East. It didn’t quite get the records correct but did have them both winning their divisions. The simulation continued even further by saying the Green Bay Packers would face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII with the Chiefs winning 28-18.
However, the Madden 23 prediction should be taken with a grain of salt. If you look back at the past 10 Madden Super Bowl simulations, only 4 of them were predicted correctly. A pretty poor percentage given their can only be one of two outcomes every year. With that being said, does that mean the Kansas City Chiefs are more likely to win given the relatively bad track record Madden has had with their predictions as of late?
It is very hard to imagine that the Chiefs will get blown out in the biggest game of the year with Patrick Mahomes as quarterback and Andy Reid as the Head Coach. In fact, Patrick Mahomes has only lost by 14 or more points in only 3 games in his career and I don’t imagine the fourth to come in a Super Bowl, especially Super Bowl LVII. Who do you think will win Super Bowl LVII?
