Madden 23: Three Bengals that deserve ratings increase after Bills win
If you didn’t tune into the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills, then you missed a dominating performance by Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. In a heavyweight battle between two of the best teams in the AFC, many fans predicted that this game would have gone right down to the wire, but that was not the case. With a decent amount of snow coming down in Buffalo, Joe Burrow proved that they wanted to be in conversation for potential Super Bowl Champions and they did just that. The Bengals defeated the Bills 27-10 on the road to set up a date with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. With such a dominating performance by the Cincinnati Bengals, there are three players that deserve a ratings increase in Madden 23 after their incredible performance.
Joe Burrow
Saying Joe Burrow needs a rating increase in Madden 23 after that one-side dominating win is a chalk thing to say, but even though it is chalk, it is very true. There are not many quarterbacks in the league that would have been able to travel to Buffalo, play in the snow, and defeat the Buffalo Bills by 17+ points. Highmark Stadium is a very tough atmosphere to play in, especially given the elements yesterday. However, Joe Burrow didn’t flinch one bit as he was 23-36 for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns. Very good numbers for pretty bad weather. It just proves that no matter what is throw at Cincinnati’s way the rest of the playoffs, they will be up for the test.
Joe Burrow’s Madden 23 launch rating was a 90 overall. A very good overall for making it to the Super Bowl last year. Over the course of the season, Joe Burrow’s Madden 23 overall jumped up to a 92 overall and consistently stayed there from Week 13 all the way until the Wild Card game. After the Cincinnati Bengals close victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card game, Joe Burrow’s Madden 23 rating went from 92 to an all-time high of a 93 overall.
With that being said, Burrow’s performance this week was even more impressive as he defeated one this year’s Super Bowl favorites in dominating fashion. Joe Burrow is only 26 years old and his career is just getting started. What we have seen from this young stud over the course of the last two seasons has been truly remarkable to watch. Over the years, Burrow’s overall should continue to increase, especially if he wins the Super Bowl. For now, I think it is only fitting that Joe Burrow moves up to at least a 94 overall as he prepares for a blockbuster matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
