Looking back at the best Nintendo Switch games of 2022

Another Nintendo game that won a 2022 Game Award was Splatoon 3 for Best Multiplayer Game. For Nintendo, this was a HUGE win as Splatoon 3 had to beat out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, MultiVersus, Overwatch 2, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. That is some tough competition to beat and is a testament to just how good Splatoon 3 is.

Splatoon 3 quickly became the best-selling Nintendo Switch game and the best-selling Splatoon game in the franchise. What Splatoon 3 does great is that it puts a very unique twist on the shooter genre video games and the twist definitely works out. From all the different customization options to all the colorful visuals that Splatoon 3 puts out, there aren’t a lot of things wrong with this video game.

If you are a fan of the shooter-type genre, this video game will certainly be one of your favorite shooter video games that you have played and definitely one of the best you can play on your Nintendo Switch.

Persona 5 Royal

No matter where you looked it always seemed like Persona 5 Royal was getting 10/10 reviews from just about everywhere. This JRPG-style game has a great story and some even call it the greatest RPG of all time. That is a big statement, but if you get the chance to play it, you may understand why these comments were made.

A game that was originally a PlayStation exclusive is finally getting the limelight on Nintendo and if you are worried about there being a massive downgrade for being on the Nintendo Switch, you couldn’t be more wrong. Great storyline, a great soundtrack, and tons of hours of playtime. If you love RPG games and haven’t had the opportunity to play this game in 2022, you’ll want to pick this game up so that you can play it throughout 2023.
