The Callisto Protocol: 2023 will bring highly anticipated content

If you have started playing The Callisto Protocol, chances are you haven’t gotten the opportunity to have finished the game yet as it is only a few hours old. While the game is pretty spooky and will definitely test your mental capacity due to its difficulty, The Callisto Protocol is not an overly long game. In fact, to complete the main story of the game will only take you on average 7-10 hours to complete with an average of 15 hours if you want to try and 100% the game. With The Callisto Protocol being such a short game, you may be wanting more after you beat the game, and more is what you will get when 2023 rolls around.

Striking Distance Studios has already confirmed that they have six months on content planned for 2023 starting on February 7. Beginning on February 7, there will be a free update to all players that will bring a Hardcore Mode and New Game + into the game. New Game + is something that many gamers will recognize, as a handful of franchises like to implement this into their games to up the replay ability. As far as Hardcore Mode goes, more details on this will be revealed later on.

Also on February 7, the (not free) Season Pass will get under way beginning with Outer Way Skin Collection. Then in March 2023 the Contagion Bundle will be released, followed by the Riot Bundle in Spring 2023, and ending with additional story content in Summer 2023. The Contagion Bundle is set to add a new game mode, death animations, and skins. The Riot Bundle will be the same exact thing adding a new game mode, death animations, and even more skins.

A lot of gamers were not too happy with this news purely for the fact that The Callisto Protocol is such a short game compared to others and they have to wait two more months to get any additional content for this game. In reality, if you beat this game within a couple days or weeks of purchasing it, the game will have to sit for a couple months before any more content is released. I understand why gamers are frustrated with this, but starting in February, there will be no shortage of new content being released for The Callisto Protocol.
