God of War Ragnarok has been off to an incredible start since its release only one week ago. Over the course of the game, Kratos and his son Atreus will embark on a unique adventure that will see yourself travel through a total of nine different Realms. Most of these nine Realms are unlocked just by playing through the main story but unlocking the Muspelheim Realm will require a little bit extra work.

One of the most important reasons on why you would want to access the Muspelheim Realm would be so that you can also gain access to and complete the Crucible Quests. However, in order to unlock Muspelheim, you will first need to acquire both halves of the Muspelheim Seed. Both halves can be found in Svartalfheim, but you have to access them during two different story Quests.

To find the first half of the Muspelheim Seed, you will need to travel to Bay of Bounty and head to Modvitnir’s Rig. Once you get to the Modvitnir’s Rig, you will need to travel all the way to the top. When you finally reach the top, a Legendary Chest will be waiting for you and inside the chest is the first half of the Muspelheim Seed.

The second half of the Muspelheim Seed you won’t be able to obtain until a later on in the Path Questline. In fact, you can’t access the second half of the Muspelheim Seed until you complete the Forging Destiny Quest. After you acquire the Draupnir Spear, make your way back to the Bay of Bounty area. You will notice that since your last time at the Bay of Bounty area, there are a lot more areas that you can explore.

Head on over to Dragon Beach in the Bay of Bounty area. When you get off your boat and are at Dragon Beach, there should be a giant wooden structure with a chain hanging down. You are going to want to head over to this structure and climb up the chain. After you have finished climbing up the chain, you are able to throw Draupnir Spear into the structure so that you can propel yourself to the higher level. Without the Draupnir Spear, it is impossible to propel yourself to that higher level.

Continue to follow the path once you are on top of the wooden structure and cross over the giant gap. Once you cross over the gap, make a left and you will see a giant statue off in the distance. You can’t miss it. Make a left at the statue and head on into the cave. There will be golden glowing rubble on the ground. Take a Firebomb and throw it at the golden glowing rubble and another Legendary Chest will be waiting for you. This Legendary Chest holds the second and final half of Muspelheim Seed that you will need to find. At this point you can head on over to a Mystic Gate and Fast Travel to the Muspelheim Realm where you will now access The Crucible.

You now have access to The Crucible combat challenges in God of War Ragnarok. Completing these challenges will grant you with various items and rewards. Collecting the Muspelheim Seeds so that you can travel to the Muspelheim Realm to complete The Crucible challenges are definitely worth it.
