If I were to tell you that you can do battle with Batman vs Superman, that would be a statement that wouldn’t surprise you. If I told you that you can do battle with Wonder Woman vs Tom and Jerry, you may have looked at me like I have two heads. The fact of the matter is that with the game MultiVersus, the possibilities like those are endless. Bugs Bunny vs Harley Quinn, Lebron James vs Arya Stark, and even Shaggy vs Taz are all battles that can indeed take place. It sounds like it wouldn’t make sense, but that is the beauty of a Multiverse!

MultiVersus brings together characters from all sorts of various TV shows and movies in order to do battle in a Super Smash Bros.-esque type of game. Obviously, when you have a game that features all sorts of cool characters like this one, it is more fun to try and unlock them all so that you always have a choice of creating battles that you would not likely see on the big screen.

Each character in MultiVersus has a unique set of moves and abilities that you can use against your opponent. That is the beauty of unlocking new characters. You may like Batman’s abilities more than Shaggy’s abilities or vice versa. It all takes a little bit of experimenting with each character until you find a character that you can really grind with.

When you first start up MultiVersus for the first time, you will need to undergo basic training. Once you complete the basic training mode, your reward will be the Wonder Woman character. This is the character everyone gets to start. Then from there, it is up to you to unlock characters and experiment with each of them along the way. Unfortunately, characters won’t be handed to you for free. It will require time and effort or even a little cash to start unlocking some of your favorite characters.

Purchase characters with gold

The first way you can unlock new characters is to purchase them with Gold. Gold is the in-game currency that is given to players. This is the best method to use if you do not want to shell out any cash of your own. In theory, you can unlock every character in MultiVersus without dropping a single penny.

Each character costs between 1,500 and 3,000 Gold. You can earn Gold in a variety of ways. Simply playing and winning games is a common way to earn Gold.

You can also earn Gold by logging in each day, leveling up the characters that you currently have, completing starter missions, and ranking up the Battle Pass. These are all common ways to earn Gold.

Gold can also be used to upgrade character abilities which is why it may turn out to be one of your best friends in MultiVersus. This is the lengthiest method to unlock every character and requires a lot of grinding. However, it is a way to unlock each of them indeed.

Unlock characters using Gleamium

Gleamium is another currency in MultiVersus, except Gleamium is a premium currency. What this means is that Gleamium can only be purchased using real money. There are four Gleamium purchase options that you are able to purchase.

  • 450 Gleamium – $4.99
  • 1,000 Gleamium – $9.99
  • 2,200 Gleamium – $19.99
  • 6,000 Gleamium – $49.99

Any character that you are looking to purchase with Gleamium costs 700 Gleamium. That means if you are looking to unlock every character in MultiVersus like this, it is going to cost you a pretty penny. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend getting all the characters this way. However, if there are a few characters that you don’t want to wait to build up Gold to purchase, this would be a quick way to get you those characters. It is obviously one of the easiest methods, but it can also be a pretty pricey method as well.

Unlock Characters with Character Tokens

The final way you can unlock every character in MultiVersus would be to use Character Tokens. Just like Gold and Gleamium, Character Tokens are the third currency featured in the video game. However, you can’t purchase Character Tokens directly. Instead, you must purchase Founder’s Packs. Founder’s Packs contain Character Tokens and other bonus items for a little extra incentive to purchase them. There are currently three Founder’s Packs that are available to purchase.

  • Standard Founder’s Pack: 15 Character Tokens, 1 Exclusive Rare Banner, and 300 Gleamium. ($39.99)
  • Deluxe Founder’s Pack: 20 Character Tokens, 1 Exclusive Rare Banner, 1 Epic banner, 1 Epic Ring out effect, 1 Premium battle pass, and 1000 Gleamium. ($59.99)
  • Premium Founder’s Pack: 30 Character Tokens, 1 Exclusive Rare Banner, 2 Epic and Legendary banners, 2 Epic and Legendary ring-out effects, one unique nameplate, three premium battle passes, and 2500 Gleamium. ($99.99)

Another potential pricier option, but you have to think that the game is Free-to-Play. With a game that is Free-to-Play, you can expect to spend a little bit of money along the way. Especially if it is a game that you are having tons of fun with. Ranging from $39.99-$99.99, the Founder’s Packs are a great way to really get off and running.

If MultiVersus is a game that you have really been enjoying and see yourself playing for the foreseeable future, then the Premium Founder’s Pack may be an option for you. After all, we know that Player First Games plans on adding a plethora of characters as the MultiVersus Seasons go on. With all those Character Tokens, you can purchase new characters immediately as soon as they are released.

If you don’t feel like spending $99.99 on the Premium Founder’s Pack, then the other two options may better suit you. They are a little cheaper and still will get you a ton of characters anyways. These Character Tokens are the third method of unlocking all the characters you want current and future. If you really think about it, Founder’s Packs are way more worth it as you get the best bang for your buck. This would be a way better option than just purchasing characters using Gleamium if you plan on going a purchasing with real money route.
